What we collect, and what we don't.

Given the subject matter, this isn't a boring legal page for us, it's part of the actual product. Here's exactly what happens with your information, in plain language, not legal wording designed to be skipped.

The short version

We never sell your information, to anyone, ever.
Nothing you write is published anywhere without you actively saying yes.
The drinking check-in (AUDIT quiz) never leaves your browser, genuinely, not "stored securely," not saved at all.
You can ask for anything you've submitted to be deleted at any time.

Common questions

If I create an account, what do you actually have?

Just your email and password, handled by Netlify Identity, the login system this site runs on. That's what lets the site know you're logged in and, once membership is live, whether you're a paying member.

What happens when I submit Feedback or Share Your Story?

It's sent to Netlify Forms and lands in a dashboard the team can read. It is not published anywhere unless you specifically tick the consent box on that form, that's the only trigger. Leave it unticked and it stays private, seen only by the team.

What about the drinking check-in?

The AUDIT questionnaire runs entirely in your own browser. Your answers and your score are never sent anywhere, never saved anywhere, and nobody, including us, ever sees them. Closing the tab erases it completely.

What does the analytics tracking actually see?

Standard, anonymised website analytics, Google Analytics, which pages get visited and roughly how long people stay. It doesn't identify you personally, and it only runs at all if you click "Accept" on the cookie banner. Decline it and nothing is tracked.

Can I have my information deleted?

Yes, any time. Use the Feedback form and ask, and the team will remove your account information and any submissions tied to you.

What about Community, once it launches?

Real conversation happens through small-group Zoom calls, hosted by Thando, twice a month. Joining a call means sharing your name (and video and audio, if you choose to turn them on) with the other members on that call, this isn't an anonymous space, it's built more like a real-life meetup than a forum. Zoom itself, the video platform, has its own separate privacy policy governing what it collects, we don't control that, only how registration details are used to invite you to calls.
